He said the progress made since pre-season training started in November had been "unbelievable".
Robinson said the players were as motivated as ever and there was no denying the work they were putting into developing their game.
He said part of the process was developing winning habits and from there the results would come.
Ballarat returns home to play Northcote City at Morshead Park on Saturday, aiming at a second win in the round six fixture.
Northcote has two wins in the east conference.
Robinson said the past week had seen a focus on developing a quicker defensive response when the need arose.
He said City FC would remain aggressive in its offensive mindset, but needed to ready to react when it lost control and shut down the opposition.
"We know there'll be these moments. We need to be alert to it."
Robinson again related this to concentration and the need to keep possession as much as possible.
He said he had given his squad a lighter week on the training track to freshen them up physically and mentally.
