Grant has been named in a forward pocket for the second round outing.
He kicked 13 goals in 10 appearances for GWV last year.
Grant from Hepburn is one of four inclusions in an extended squad for the match at Mars Stadium.
Fraser Marris (South Warrnambool), Marcus Herbert (South Warrnambool) and Patrick Rea (Warrnambool) - all first-year players - have also been added.
Nick Stevens misses out after the Rebels' six-point loss to reigning premier Dandenong Stingrays to open the season.
It is only a few weeks since the Rebels and Falcons met, having taken on each other in a practice game.
Rebels talent manager Phil Partington said despite the loss there had been was plenty of positives out of the match, which they will be looking to build on.
