Despite the 36-point margin and failure to register a goaling, coach Rhys Cahir said the defeat came in the Rebels best performance of the season.
"Other than a poor third quarter I though we played our best game thus far."
Cahir noted the Falcons - who remained undefeated and on top of the NAB League girls ladder with this victory - were one of the best teams in the competition and the Rebels performance was one they should be proud of.
"Considering (Geelong) is a team that consistently goes deep into the finals, our ability to play well against the best teams gives us a lot of confidence."
The Rebels were bolstered by the return of ruck Maggie Caris but hurt by the loss of key midfielder Ella Wood who sustained a thumb injury in their round three loss to Dandenong. Captain Sophie Molan put together another strong performance around the ground, once again landing among the best for the Rebels.
Second-year Falcons player Mia Skinner put on a best-on-ground performance, booting two of Geelong's four goals. Even though this was the Rebels third consecutive loss, Cahir is stressing to his players that their performances have been much better than the results show.
The Rebels will next face the win-less Western Jets on the road.
