The match was close for the first three quarters with both teams trading leads.
The Jets however owned the fourth quarter, outscoring the Rebels 22 to 2 to secure their first win of the season.
Rebels coach Rhys Cahir said it was a very disappointing way to finish what had been a good game from his side.
"We were really happy with the way we played across those first three quarters," he said.
"One the fourth quarter came we got tired and fell back into some bad habits - committing too many to the footy mainly - once they got those few goals up we really struggled to match their energy."
Captain Sophie Molan was once again among the best for the Rebels alongside Isabella Robson and Kayetlan Harris.
"It was easily Kayetlan's best game in a year and a half which is always great to see," Cahir said.
The loss will keep GWV in the bottom four ahead of their next game against the Sandringham Dragons.
The Dragon like the Jets were win-less in their first four games.
Sandringham got their first win of the season with an unexpected 37 to 31 victory over the Oakleigh Chargers.
Cahir remains confident the Rebels can get their season back on track by keeping their heads up, staying positive and working on the basics at training.
The GWV Rebels girls and the Sandringham Dragons will face off at Mars Stadium on Sunday at 12.45pm.
