LATE night commuters on the Ballarat line will be shuffled onto buses over the next few days with services after 6pm to be replaced for line maintenance works.

Starting on Saturday, the works are scheduled to be held in the evening until services resume Wednesday morning.
On Saturday night, the 8.52pm, 10.16pm, 11.16pm and 12.16am from Southern Cross to Wendouree will be all buses. The 6.16pm from Southern Cross to Ararat will also be replaced by buses to Ballarat and then a train will operate to Ararat.
The 6.06pm, 7.06pm, 7.16pm and 8.59 train from Wendouree to Southern Cross Station will be replaced by coaches for the entire journey while the 4.10pm train from Ararat to Southern Cross Station will run to Ballarat then be replaced by buses.
On Sunday the 8.52pm and 10.56pm from Melbourne to Wendouree will be replaced as will the 8.59pm from Wendouree will also be replaced.
On Monday, services to be replaced include the 8.52pm and 10.56pm, 11.16pm and 12.16am from Melbourne and 8.59 from Wendouree.
Tuesday will see the most disruption with services from Melbourne including 7.50pm, 8.30pm, 9.17pm, 9.55pm, 10.55pm and 11.55pm replaced and the 8.02pm, 9.25pm and 10.29pm trains from Wendouree.
