Fox averaged 16 points, 13 rebounds and five-and-a-half assists over the weekend including a 10-assist performance on Sunday against the Eltham Wildcats.

Miners coach Brendan Joyce praised Fox's play but believes he needs greater consistency going forward.

"He had scored points (against Kilsyth) and started aggressive against Eltham," he said.

"I was looking for that consistency from him to have back-to-back good games. They made adjustments because he was scoring early, when the help came he found the open man.

"It's great to see someone at his position get 10 assists, it's unusual but it's a great effort."

One of the only negatives to come out of the Miners' two wins came after Marqueze Coleman aggravated his ankle injury, limiting his playing time against Kilsyth and ruling him out of the game against Eltham.

Joyce is confident Coleman will be back for the Miners next game against the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence at the Minerdome on Saturday evening.

"I'd expect him to be pretty close to 100 per cent," he said.

"He tried to get up and play, there was a lot of pain there, he did what he could in his 14 minutes but I decided to put the cue in the rack so to speak - we didn't want to risk it."

Moving towards the Rush's performance, Joyce remains confident they can still make a push towards finals after registering their first over the weekend.

"So what that they're 1-6? What if they win the next 13 games? They've got nine games left at home, anything's possible."

Returning Rush star Chanise Jenkins echoed Joyce's comments, adding that she believes they have found the maturity to win close games.

"I think it was just maturity, in all of our games this season we've had games where we've not been able to finish out fourth quarters," he said.

"I think we sort of realised that and said to ourselves 'Alright, let's buckle down and help each other out defensively and move the ball offensively and work on the things that got ourselves going in the first half."
