The Vikings looked sharp from the get-go against a desperate Point Cook outfit, which has only won one game from eight matches. And it showed early with the visitors missing on two early chances. But it was the Vikings which drew first blood in the 16th minute off the boot of Mitch Ralston, who scored the first senior goal of his career. A second came soon after when debutante Folly found the back of the net from an Ed North set-up.
Point Cook hit the scoreboard soon after, however the Vikings restored a two-goal advantage after a lucky cross in front of goal landed at the feet of Ralston, who calmly slotted his second. The goal laid the platform for victory for Sebastopol, which went on to comfortably win the match 4-2.
Sebastopol coach Michael Goodman praised the efforts of his squad.
