Police say around four cars parked in Victoria Street car park, connected to the Sebastopol Bowling Club, had windows broken and items stolen overnight.
Nothing of major value was taken from the cars, but police are warning Ballarat residents to be vigilant and not leave cars unattended in public car parks at night. CCTV footage of the incidents has been viewed by investigators.
It follows more than nine cars being broken into at Wendouree Train Station in the early hours of Friday morning, in a similar spate of opportunistic thefts.
It is at least the third time in the past two months cars parked overnight at the station have been targeted, with police once again reviewing CCTV footage of the incidents to find the offenders.
