Forward Lucy Cochrane will depart her native Australia to play basketball for the University of Oregon.
She will join a host of other new faces who will play under head coach Kelly Graves in the NCAA Division 1 Pac-12 conference.
Cochrane has enjoyed an impressive NBL1 season for the Rush and has been a heavy contributor on the defensive end of the court.
She recently recorded one of her best games in Ballarat colours in the team's win over the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence.
The 6'6 forward stuffed the stat sheet with seven points, nine rebounds and five blocks en-route to game MVP honours.
Ballarat Basketball director of coaching Brendan Joyce said coaches got a lot of pleasure out of developing and improving players.
"That's part of my role, to create an environment to get the best out of people and allow them to be the best they can be," he said.
