The Reds will head on the road to take on the 10th placed Maribyrnong Greens SC in round 11 of the Men's State League 5 West competition.
The Greens have lost four of their past five games and have been outscored over that span 18-2.
Speaking to The Courier before the bye, Ballarat coach Jamie Winton said he is now allowing his side to become complacent and is always weary of coming up against a team ranked lower than the Red's on the ladder.
These mid-table teams have nothing to lose and that's why they're so dangerous to play against.

"Our players get up mentally for a top-of-the-table clash and they too easily slip into complacency in games like this week," he said.
