MORE Ballarat houses will be able to access faster internet after a doubling of the NBN rollout to 17,800 premises.Welcoming the announcement, Ballarat MP Catherine King said the increase from an initial plan of 8900 put the city at the cutting edge of the rollout. The initial rollout of NBN broadband across Ballarat during the next 12 months has doubled from an initial plan of 8,900 premises to a total of 17,800."This is exciting news," Ms King said. "The NBN will drive innovation and productivity here in Ballarat, as fast and affordable broadband becomes increasingly essential for the long term prosperity of all Australians."
