First up was sport reporter Kyle Evans, who took on Sam Short of Ballarat Miners in a shooting challenge.
This is what Evans learned:
"As a veteran of 22 years, I didn't think there was much about the game of basketball I had left to learn.
But I was given a shooting lesson courtesy of Ballarat Miners point guard Sam Short in a display that was both jaw-dropping and embarrassing.
The young gun blitzed me in our inaugural episode.
Challenging him to a shooting contest, I quickly why learned why I shouldn't quit my day job.
It certainly didn't help that I'd been off the game for 18 months prior to our contest either."
