After two weeks of buses between Ballarat and Melbourne, Monday was supposed to see the welcomed return of trains for morning commuters.

However, not everything has gone to plan.
Some early morning train services have been cancelled this morning, with V/Line investigating the cause.
As a result, some commuters are having to catch replacement coaches.
A V/line spokesperson said it had not been confirmed exactly what caused the delay this morning, unable to say if it was due to the Ballarat Line Upgrade.
All Ballarat trains following the 6.44am service are expected to run as planned, while trains from about 7.30am onwards from Melton and Bacchus Marsh are also scheduled to run.
The two-week blitz formed part of the Ballarat Line Upgrade. You can read more about what was done here.
On Twitter, V/Line says the upgraded works have now been fully completed and commuters can expect to see trains return to the line.
