The Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners and Selkirk Ballarat Rush will wear the special jerseys as they take on the Waverley Falcons at home on Saturday evening.
Designed by St Patrick's College student Lleyton Priest, the uniforms represent the teams competing.
"The big dots are the teams that they [Miners/Rush] play against and the white lines represent the line to victory while the small grey dots supports the Indigenous players on the courts," Lleyton said.
Miners player Tristan Fisher said he is excited to wear the indigenous jersey over the weekend.
"I'm thrilled to wear this Indigenous Jersey and thank the NBL1 as well as Ballarat for leading the way with this initiative," Fisher said.
Basketball Ballarat will also host Indigenous Team the West Vic Eels Basketball Club as part of the half-time entertainment of both games in an exhibition match.
