The WestVic women's hockey team have secured its second straight win coming off a bye, overcoming Knox at home in a high-scoring contest.

Sitting even with Knox on the ladder entering the game, the first half was full of fireworks as the two sides traded goals back-and-forth. WestVic held a slight advantage going into the main break, leading Knox 3-2.
The scoring didn't slow in the second term as both sides forces turnovers and pressured each other on the counter-attack.
Each side found the back of the net twice in the second half, meaning WestVic were able to held on to a hard-fought 5-4 win at home.
Mikenna Papworth showcased her skills on the pitch in her first game of the season with WestVic, scoring a hat-trick to help her side get over the line.
WestVic's next game will be on the road against the fifth-placed Brunswick Hockey Club.
The WestVic men couldn't replicate the women's success in its contest at the weekend, falling short in its come-back attempt against the third-places PEGS Hockey Club.
WestVic were forced to play from behind for much of the contest after PEGS found the back of the net twice in the first half to take a two-goal advantage into half-time.
Coming out full of energy in the second half, WestVic were able to fight back into the game, scoring twice through Nicolas Don and Benjamin Huf.
It was not to be as a third PEGS goal secured a 3-2 loss WestVic, its third in its last four outings.
