Evans and Jenkins received the awards at Basketball Ballarat's end of season awards ceremony on Wednesday evening.
Following the win, Evans Jr said it was an amazing feeling.
"It's always exciting to get accolades it shows that hard work pays off with all those hours practicing and in the gym," he said.
Evans Jr said he didn't have any expectations before coming to play for the Ballarat Miners. He said he had heard that Ballarat was a great city from people and that they had been right.
The American-born players have starred for the Miners and Rush and were the leading scorers of their respective teams.
Miners and Rush interior players Deng Acuoth and Lucy Cochrane were recognised for their efforts on the other end of the court by winning defensive player of the year.
Kuany Kuany and Joy Burke took home the coaches award, while youth standouts Jeremiah McKenzie and Annie Collins were named most valuable players for their play in the Big V competition.
