When contacted by The Courier to confirm if the the $5 registration fee remained in place, ticket agency, Ticketmaster referred enquiries to the Western Bulldogs website.
Bulldogs chief executive Ameet Bains said there had already been significant interest in the match
"We were pleased with the interest we generated for our Round eight game against Brisbane earlier this year, and we hope for an even bigger attendance in Round 23," he said.
"The support from the City of Ballarat and the local community has been tremendous, and we're proud of the way we have been embraced in the region.
"We worked collaboratively with the AFL, both in the initial planning of the 2019 fixture, and in the few weeks leading up to the announcement of the Round 23 schedule.
"We are pleased to have secured the 1.10pm time slot on August 25. The Sunday game will hopefully avoid clashing with local sport in Ballarat, allowing as many fans as possible to see another game of AFL in the region, and to come and support the Bulldogs."
