After coming away with an impressive 3-2 over cross-conference opponents Melbourne City, Robinson says his side is looking to keep its hot form going.
"It was a nice way for the boys to have a weekend off," he said.
"It doesn't stop our preparation and processes of challenging anyone we come up against."
It will take a big performance from City to replicate its form against Melbourne City against fellow cross-conference opponent Langwarrin.
The Lions have been piecing together an impressive season in the eastern conference, sitting fourth on the competition ladder with 11 wins and having gone six games without a loss.
Robinson says he is excited for the challenge and believes his side has shown it can compete with anyone in either conference.
"They've been impressive on the opposite side of the table... but our success has shown the boys what we can do when we come into games as a united front and that shows in their performances."
We've got form, we've got confidence and were at home so I think that's just going to lead to a really great game.
- James Robinson
After struggling for much of the season, Robinson says it's very pleasing to see his side put together some winning performances to close the season and believes it shows the team's development.
"It's tremendously exciting because what we're doing takes a lot of resolve and resilience but mostly a lot of belief.
"We've gone through a lot together as a group to get where we are and that shows each time we take to the pitch. I'm really pleased for the playing group... they'll surprise everybody."
Now sporting a healthy side, Robinson said the competition for starting 11 positions is driving his players to train harder and perform better on the pitch.
"We're coming in with a clean bill of health which is good because it creates competition... everybody is chasing each other to be in the starting 11 which is a really strong place to be as a club."
Ballarat City will host Langwarrin on Saturday from 4pm on the Morshead Park Stadium Pitch.
