In windy conditions, sisters Jemma and Alanna Peart took home gold in their respective events. Jemma took gold in the U20 10,000 metre roadwalk with a time of 53:09 while Alanna won gold in the U18 5000 metre roadwalk, finishing in 24:43.
Younger brother Scott, 12, also got in on the success in his first national championship, placing eighth in a personal best time of 17:48 and winning a third place on handicapped times.
Fraser Saunder, 15, rounded out the Ballarat success, winning gold in the U16 age group. Despite racing in a downpour of rain, Saunder finished with a personal best time of the 24:11 in the 5000 metre roadwalk.
All four athletes will now begin training for the All Schools State Championships in November, aiming to qualifying for the National All Schools in December.
