A DISTINCTLY black-and-white panel will again have the spotlight for North Ballarat's grand final tradition that last year erupted into a war of words between Mo Hope and Mick Malthouse.
Collingwood goalkicking great Peter Daicos will join former Magpie skippers Tony Shaw and Mark Williams, the 2004 Port Adelaide premiership coach, on the panel for North Ballarat Sports Club's annual AFL grand final lunch on September 26.
The lunch captured national headlines last season when AFLW star Mo Hope, who was on the move from Collingwood to North Melbourne, stormed out after taking offence at words from former Collingwood coach Malthouse.
They had been discussing proposed AFLW rules changes and injury concerns
Malthouse, a North Ballarat Hall of Famer, claimed Hope had taken his opinion out of context.
This time, event goers can anticipate a major announcement from North Ballarat Sports Club and Paralympics Australia.
The touted partnership is expected to bring community, education and sporting programs to be based in Ballarat.
Paralympics chief executive officer Lynne Anderson will join North Ballarat chief Scott Seward to detail Ballarat's role in the continued lead up to the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.
All money raised from the lunch will support Australian para-athletes in their preparations for the Games.
North Ballarat Sports Club's AFL grand final lunch is on Thursday, September 26, from 11.45am. Tickets here.
