GETTING THERE
People who are heading to Melbourne for AFL Grand Final Day will be able to board extra services to and from the game. The Ballarat line will be running one extra pre and post game train, while two extra pre-game trains, and on extra post-match train will run on the Geelong line.
There will be a number of road closures will be in place around the MCG.
Wellington Parade, Jolimont Road and Brunton Avenue will close before and after the Grand Final to ensure safe pedestrian movement.
On Grand Final Day, a 40km/h speed limit will be in place on roads surrounding the MCG, including Punt Road.
Swan Street will be closed between Punt Road and Church Street from 4.30pm, and will re-open when Victoria Police determines that it's safe to do so.
WEATHER
The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a cool, but dry grand final day across Victoria.
Melbourne is heading for a top temperature of 16 degrees after a cold overnight low of 11.
If you are planning a barbecue in Ballarat for the match, rug up, because the the city is going for just 13 degrees with a mostly cloudy day in store.
