Charli McLennan and Sara Kennedy of the Central Highlands have been selected in the Team Vic Girls 12 Years & Under Cricket State Team to represent School Sport Victoria at the School Sport Australia Championships.
After a long trial period which saw over 160 cricketers put through the ringer to find Victoria's best, McLennan and Kennedy were selected in the final team of 13 players to represent their state.
McLennan, who plays for East Ballarat Cricket Club and is a pupil at Black Hill Primary school and Kennedy, who plays for Mount Clear Cricket Club and goes to Skipton Primary School, will compete in the Championships in Adelaide from 17 - 24 November.
The championships, which feature 18 different sports, provide an opportunity for young athletes to both test themselves against some of the nations best in their sport.
