There are more than 2500 free or low cost events being hosted across the state during the Victorian Seniors Festival 2019.
With free public transport available for all Victorian Seniors Card holders from Sunday October 6 until Sunday October 13 on all metropolitan and V-Line Services, seniors are encouraged to get out and about.
The Creswick mill is running a free bus from the Ballarat train station to the Creswick Mill for the seniors festival on October 11, 12 and 13 with pick up at 9.30am and 12.30pm and drop off back to the station at 12.00pm and 3.30pm, to coincide with train arrivals and departures back to Melbourne.
Executive director of the mills Boaz Herszfeld encouraged seniors to tour the mill, see how the yarn is spun, pet and bottle feed the baby animals and enjoy a coffee and cake special at the Alpaca Mill Cafe.
There are currently a number of baby alpacas, goats and lambs at the mill.
