A man who had only just been released from prison was arrested and extradited to New South Wales on Wednesday.

The 51-year-old had just been released from an Ararat correctional facility when he was once again arrested.
The arrest warrant, executed by Ararat Criminal Investigation Unit, relates to a charge of sexual assault and an act of indecency from an offence that occurred in Bondi in the 1980s.
He faced court in Ballarat and was extradited to New South Wales.
He was placed in custody at Sydney's Mascot Police Station about 6.45pm on Wednesday.
He will appear in Central Local Court today.
