Twice placed behind Winx in the Cox Plate, Humidor is first emergency and Mr Quickie is second emergency.
Humidor finished second in 2017 and third last year.
The seven-year-old has had four starts for Maher-Eustace this preparation - his first for the stable - with a last-start hard-finishing fifth to Cape Of Good Hope in the Caulfield Stakes, 2000m, on October 12.
Mr Quickie has had a mixed campaign, with his latest run being a luckless 11th in the Caulfield Cup.
Humidor and Mr Quickie are among seven horses in the Cox Plate line-up, including emergencies, previously trained by the now banned Darren Weir.
They also include Black Heart Bart (now trained by Lindsay Smith), Kings Will Dream, Very Elleegant and third emergency Gailo Chop.
Former Ballarat-based jockey Ben Melham has the ride on Homesman for Liam Howley.
