Falling to Gisborne Green in the Shield's one-day final by only eight runs, the side will be hoping to make a statement as they face off against a Grampians side that failed to win a game all last season.
The region's other side, Ballarat Blue, is coming off a two win, two loss season in 2018 and will open its new campaign on the road against Grenville.
The regular season will run for four weeks, culminating with a grand final on 8 December. A bye has been introduced to the competition as Maryborough will not compete in 2019.
