Police are investigating how the house of a man facing numerous court charges was burnt down in the early hours of the morning in Bacchus Marsh.

Godwin Aquilina has been behind bars since June, accused of a number of serious crimes, and now finds himself without a home after a large fire at his property.
A renowned hoarder, who has had numerous legal battles with Moorabool Shire Council, Aquilina is currently on remand for allegedly ramming two cars and chasing the passengers.
His Love Close property went up in flames about 3.30am on Monday, the cause of which is still unknown.
Police say there were two people at the premises at the time of the fire, although both escaped injury.
The large fire sent black smoke billowing up into the air, prompting the CFA to send out a warning to Bacchus Marsh residents to keep their doors and windows closed.
At least 12 trucks were called in to help fight the blaze, due to a lack of access to water on site.
It was finally declared safe about four hours later at 7.30am.
Emergency crews are expected to remain on scene for some time.
Aquilina has fought a number of battles with council in recent years, after being ordered to clean up his property.
During court cases in Ballarat, his mental health issues have been detailed by his lawyers.
Aquilina has an acquired brain injury from a truck crash more than 20 years ago.
