More than 20 teams from across the state descended on the Mars Minerdome for two full days of action.
Four thousand dollars worth of prize money was up for grabs as the teams played off across four divisions.
Ballarat men's teams made the final of both the division one and two competitions, with both failing to win the decider.
Ballarat fell to Monash University in a five-set thriller in the division one final, while the division two home side lost in straight sets to Dandenong.
It was the first time the league has been able to host the tournament in one venue, since it took up shop permanently at the Minerdome earlier this year.
League administrator Damon Minotti said the event was great.
