The woman told the Ballarat Magistrates Court she was stabbed with a pickaxe and hit with a hammer, causing a broken arm and three stab wounds, during an alleged aggravated home invasion at 5.20am on September 23, 2018.
Tegan Broadway-Marks, 23, Nikkita Thomas, 26, and Patrick Meizys, 25, pleaded not guilty to aggravated home invasion and assault in company after a committal hearing on Wednesday.
The woman said she was asleep at her Rogers Court house when she woke to the sound of a drill at her front door.
"I remember the sound of the drill. I have nightmares about it," the complainant said.
She said she took a knife from her bedside table because "I am under threat, I am under attack", before seeing the three accused in the hallway.
The alleged victim said while she was being hit in the back, she used the knife to stab at Thomas and Broadway-Marks
"Nikkita said, 'get her off me', and someone behind her broke my arm," she said.
"I don't know what I was hit in the back with. I was told it was a pickaxe."
The group then left the property and the alleged victim was taken to the Ballarat Base Hospital by ambulance to treat three stab wounds in her shoulder and a broken arm.
The incident was allegedly over Thomas' property, including her American bulldog, which Thomas left at the complainant's house after she moved out.
Before the incident the complainant had contacted Thomas by text message asking her if she had found her dog. She said she was trying to upset Thomas like Thomas upset her.
The alleged victim's neighbour told the court she was having a cigarette on her porch between 5am and 5.30am when she saw three people - two wearing hoodies - get out of a car.
"All three walked up to the door and started pushing on the door before the male in the white hoodie kicked the door in," the neighbour said.
She said she then heard at least three noises.
Another witness said he could not remember the entire incident but he was at the complainant's house when he saw a scuffle in the hallway.
He said he did not think the group forced their way into the house because Thomas knew the security code.
Police informant Detective Senior Constable Scott Howard said the hand drill the complainant alleged was used, was never found and an expert had not looked at whether a drill had damaged the front door.
Broadway-Marks, Thomas and Meizys were committed to stand trial in the County Court. They pleaded not guilty to all charges and will face a directions hearing on December 19.
Meizys was remanded in custody, while Broadway-Marks and Thomas' bail was extended.
