The former Carngham-Linton leader, who shocked many when he resigned from the Saints' job mid-way through the 2019 season, has been named as Royal Park's new head coach.
"Royal Park was looking for a coach, I assisted there in 2015 and I guess the planets aligned and I've found my way back there after a couple of years," he told the Maryborough Advertiser.
"I'm really grateful to be able to coach senior footy again, it's what I really want to do at this point in my career."
Beaston answered Carngham-Linton's desperate plea for a coach late in 2016 when he arrived to take on the senior job.
In 2017, Carngham-Linton claimed three victories to finish 15th on the ladder and managed only one throughout 2018 and collected the wooden spoon. It was a winless campaign before Beaston departed after round seven this year.
Beaston's time in charge of the Saints also saw him serve as an assistant coach with the Central Highlands Football League. He worked under head coach Clive Raak as an opposition analyst for the 2018 AFL Victoria Community Championships clash with Riddell District.
Royal Park finished 10th on the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League ladder in season 2019 with six victories.
