The Darryl Thomas-trained greyhound clocked the fastest time of four heats with a red-hot run of 24.90sec.
His four-length triumph booked a place in next Saturday's rich final where he will jump from box four.
First and second place-getters from the heats secured a spot in next weekend's group 2 feature.
Snags Mckenzie, for Little River trainer David Burnett, clocked the next best time of 25.08sec in winning the second heat.
Other heat winners were recent Bendigo Cup champ Crimson Vixen for Warrnambool's Norman McCullagh and Almapa Berisha for Bass trainer Pasquale Derubeis.
Those to progress in running second were 2019 Melbourne Cup victor Whiskey Riot, runner-up Western Envoy, Keeper Of Keys and Get It Gizmo. Cee Jays Boy and Slingshot Hammer finished third in respective heats and are the reserves.
