Ballarat Real Estate booked out a whole floor of Myer Ballarat last weekend and let them go to town with personal gifts cards and champagne as a way of greeting the festive season.
Ballarat Real Estate has its office on the landmark CBD corner of Sturt and Doveton, a block from the Sturt Street retail icon.
Earlier this month The Courier reported on the latest developments in Sturt Street with a welcome renewal of the Myer lease and investment in refurbishments.
The news for the upper part of Sturt Street follows investment in the diagonally opposite site to Myer by Provincial Living and other key retailers joining the strip in 2019 including Sportscraft.
General Manager of Ballarat Real Estate Allister Morrison said the surprise party was not only a great way to treat staff but he also saw the event as a way to support a local retail icon in Myer Ballarat.
"We were thrilled to hear that Myer Ballarat were extending their lease and investing in the store. As a show of support for that announcement we felt that by rewarding our team with an exclusive shopping night it was giving a big thumbs up for retail in Ballarat and the push to shop in Ballarat" said Mr Morrison.
"Everyone loved the event and really enjoyed the opportunity to have the whole of Myer Ballarat themselves to shop at their leisure," Mr Morrison said.
"We love to reward them team for all their hard work and passion throughout the year" said Mr Morrison.
