The 34-year-old will be part of the United team that takes on Wellington Phoenix in the highly-anticipated A-League clash at Mars Stadium and has eyes firmly fixed on hitting the back of the net.
Berisha said it would be "really special" to score the first A-League goal in Ballarat this Saturday.
"I'm a striker and a striker loves goals every game," he told The Courier.
"I'm definitely looking forward to Ballarat, to come down there, and hopefully I am able to score the goal there.
"I love celebrating in different places... I hope I can have this moment to celebrate at the Ballarat stadium and with the people down there."
Berisha joined Western United as the competition's all-time leading goal-scorer in September and found the net in the opening round 1-0 win over the Phoenix.
He arrived from J-League outfit Sanfrecce Hiroshima, which he signed for after winning the 2018 A-League grand final with Melbourne Victory. In total, Berisha scored 68 times for Victory and 48 for Brisbane Roar.
Berisha, who was born in Kosovo but is now an Australian citizen, said he was excited for the historic game in Ballarat.
"We are really excited to come to Ballarat and hopefully it's going to be a great game for us and something to celebrate for the Ballarat fans too," he said.
"It's great for the city I think... it's really special because a lot of people are not working at this time so it's a great atmosphere.
"Everybody is excited, we are doing well at the club and I think it's the perfect timing to come to Ballarat and try to have a good game down there."
Saturday evening's match will kick-off at 5pm and will be the first of four Western United home matches in Ballarat this season.
United will take on Brisbane Roar on Sunday, February 16, Western Sydney Wanderers on Sunday, March 29 and then Melbourne City on Friday, April 10 (Good Friday). All games are at Mars Stadium.
