One such organisation is the North Ballarat Sports Club, which have raised thousands of dollars through one of its biggest bingo nights ever.
North Ballarat Sports Club CEO Scott Seward told The Courier nearly 200 people participated in the bushfire fundraiser, raising $6500 for the CFA.
"We had just under 200 people turn up which goes down as one of the biggest bingo sessions we've ever had," he said.
"We raised a little over $6500 on Tuesday night and 100 per cent of those sales have gone towards the CFA."
Mr Seward said he felt it was important to help give assistance to those in need.
"It's absolutely crucial to give back because our club is about the people and the community... while Ballarat hasn't been impacted by fires this year, it has in the past.
"Raising money is the least we could do to try and give back."
The club will continue its fundraising efforts across the remainder of January, donating 100 per cent of the money from its Thursday night raffles to the CFA, while matching its patrons' cash donations dollar for dollar.
