The bank will complete its move from its previous location on the corner of Doveton and Sturt streets into the former newsagency in the Block Arcade.
The new location is smaller than the previous bank but is retaining the same number of staff, Leanne Martin, Bendigo Bank's regional manager for Ballarat and Wimmera told The Courier.
A new ATM is also now working at the new site, which will open at noon once staff have fully set up.
Lease signs on the previous site appeared in June last year. The Courier understands a major retailer is looking at moving into the two-level building, which is one of the most prominent on Sturt Street.
Bill Bunning, the owner of the Block Arcade, said the arrival of the Bendigo Bank branch was a welcome addition.
"It is an excellent tenant," he said. "It will be a big stimulus to the area. If the arcade is going well, the whole area is going well."
Mr Bunning said a new branch of UFS would also be opening in the arcade later this year.
