Police believe the driver lost control of their vehicle and struck a tree on Ajax Road at 4.25am.
The driver is yet to be identified.
Police and paramedics performed CPR on the driver, however they died at the scene.
Nobody else was injured as a result of the crash.
There have been five deaths in the Hepburn region in the past month.
On December 29, a mother and child were killed following a collision with a truck at Kingston.
Then, on January 17, a person died after losing control of their vehicle on the Clunes-Mount Cameron Road. It is believed the driver lost control of their car, which veered from the road, crashed through a fence and caught fire.
Just last week, January 22, another person died after crashing into a tree on Ellis Road, Coomoora.
