There is no shortage of nerves for Richmond Tigers draftees Sophie Molan, Ella Wood and Nakaela Butler, who will be part of the club's history-making first game against Carlton.
But the excitement among the three friends was just as high.
"I am nervous, I think the whole group is, but I think we're pretty excited at the same time," Molan said.
"Whether we are on the field or not it's going to be a great day."

The Ballarat native looms as a strong possibility to make her debut this weekend, after being taken seventh overall in last year's national draft.
The inside-midfielder hoped to play as many games as she could in 2020.
"We've got such an incredible group and everyone just wants to get a game and be successful," she said.
"We haven't set any benchmarks, we're just hoping to take each game as it comes."
The experience is surreal in more ways than one for Molan, who grew up a Collingwood supporter.
Despite her upbringing, she left no doubt as to where her loyalties now lay.
"The journey has been better than what I thought it would be," she said.
"We've got set hours we can be here with a short season and all, but the club's been awesome. You cant get the smile off my face."
"I wish I was here everyday."
The same can be said for Wood, who is still pinching herself after getting taken with the 32nd pick last October.
With no guarantee of a game in round one, the 18-year-old winger said she would make her presence felt when the opportunity came.
"Tackling is something I enjoy most about football, that's something I think I could bring out this season," she said.
Butler, who is a lifelong Richmond supporter, said being drafted at pick 55 came as a huge shock.
After impressing the Richmond brain-trust with her attitude and football IQ, Butler aimed to become one of the steals of the draft.
"My goal is just to get a game. I don't care when it is, or if it's the last game, I just want to get one," she said.
"I hope to develop myself as much as I can and if I get a game, that's a bonus."
The move to Melbourne came as a big transition for Butler, who hails from Horsham.
She said being able to share the journey with Molan and Wood had been a big thrill.
"It couldn't have been any smoother, I settled in straight away, the family I'm with are lovely, the only person I worry about is my mum," she said.
"We have a huge family here and everyone takes care of each other."
Richmond will play Carlton at 7.45pm on Friday at Ikon Park.
