The large roundabout connects the Midland Highway, Doveton Street, Webster Street, and Market Street, and is heavily used by motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians - traffic lights could be one solution to improve safety.
An off-street car park designed for CBD workers also opened late last year.

Official statistics reveal there have been three casualty crashes in the five years to June 30, 2019, with one person receiving serious injuries.
While the state government is investing millions in upgrading road infrastructure as the city grows, including $7 million to bring extra lanes to Mair Street, there's no plan yet for the Creswick Road roundabout.

In a statement, Regional Roads Victoria western regional director Michael Bailey said it will be "monitored".
"We're constantly monitoring how Ballarat's road network is performing and assessing whether any improvements are needed to meet the rapidly-changing needs of the community," he said.
"While there are no current plans to upgrade this particular intersection, we'll continue to monitor the area to see if any upgrades are needed."
