Professional Bull Riders Australia general manager Glen Young said his team brought in some of the best riders in the nation for the event, aiming to build on the association's first visit to Ballarat last year.
Mr Young said Ballarat ticked all the right boxes in accessibility and support for the event and, in return, he said a big draw card aimed to boost local economy.
This comes after Ballarat Rodeo Committee was forced to cancel its 2020 stampede at Ballarat Airport in February due to pressures drought and fire had put on organisers and participants' own livestock and property.
Cowboy Lachlan Richardson, who hails from western New South Wales, topped fierce competition at Ballarat Showgrounds.
The Ballarat event is a chance for the bull riders to earn points toward their overall national and world standings as they look to qualify for prestigious events in Australia, Canada and the United States.
