Is Creswick Road roundabout approaching its use-by date?
I drive on the roundabout frequently.

Five roads connect to it, making it more challenging to negotiate than the normal four.
Because it is so large, traffic speed is high.
Traffic volume is always high.
Entering the roundabout from Market Street is hazardous because rapidly approaching traffic from three directions makes entering the roundabout difficult.
I never cycle on the roundabout as I consider it too risky and walk my bike as a pedestrian; even that is traumatic; so I use alternative routes, such as Macarthur street where there are traffic lights.
David Chadderton, Wendouree.
If there's no intention of changing the current intersection could the powers that be please put some road markings in.
I assume the road has been patched at various times but for now people actually need to know where the lanes are.

Not enough information on bike path plans
The Ballarat City Council is going to vote on the amended Bicycle Plan on Wednesday night.
Apparently the council officers support the plan.
The council officers supported the last plan completely even though it would have had huge impacts on the Sturt Street vista.
The general public has had very little access to the new revised plan and the time frame has been very limited. There are concept drawings and a very small plan on the Regional Roads web-site.
Beware of concept drawings. Compare the concept drawings of the Quest building in Lydiard Street with the huge building which is being constructed.
The Regional Roads plan available online is so small that it is very difficult to see the details. I am very concerned about the Drummond Street and Sturt Street intersection. How is this very busy intersection going to operate safely with the addition of cyclists and pedestrians in the centre of the intersection?
The people of Ballarat have promised that not one tree and not one statue will be affected. We need to ensure that this promise is kept.
Joyce Currie, Wendouree.
