The BCA announced on Thursday that Darley had been awarded the first grade flag after earlier deciding that the season would be abandoned due to the threat of COVID-19.
Darley was set to take on Golden Point in the grand final at Eastern Oval this weekend, but has now been handed the premiership after going through the season unbeaten and finishing on top of the ladder. The Pointies ended in second spot on the table.
In a statement sent to clubs on Thursday afternoon, the BCA also announced premiers for all other senior and junior grades.
"Excerpts from senior rules 28 and 29: 'should no decision be reached or a tie result, the winner shall be deemed to be the team highest ranked after the qualifying finals'," the statement read.
"Qualifying finals are references to matches directly preceding semi, preliminary and/or grand finals.
"All senior and junior matches scheduled for March 20, 21 and 22 will be treated the same as they would have been, for example washed out, with the highest ranked teams deemed winners."
