Through the magic of social networking, mum Kellie managed to coordinate friends and family members to give Logan a celebration he would always remember, with relatives making signs to put on their homes and leaving presents in letterboxes when Logan and his family came to visit last night.
Mum Kellie Taylor said she had been blown away by the work family and friends.
"Stuck, house bound, not surrounded by friends and family is not an ideal way to turn 18," she said.
"So I secretly organised a driving route all around Ballarat and districts for us to pull up in close friends and families homes so they can yell and sing 'Happy Birthday' to him from their porches. Gifts and cards were left on letterboxes, we got some hand made posters and cards from little cousins.
"Some are left him out a box of Corona beer to make light humour of this situation. We had birthday cake, cut and wrapped ready to leave at each stop."
Ms Taylor said it was a way of bringing some joy into the situation.
"So many parents would be feeling the disappointment and guilt that so many birthdays are cancelled," she said. "The main thing is we are all healthy, and remaining at a safe distance."
