First signs of the Bunny having cleared isolation rules were found early Sunday morning with chocolate sprinkled across the city.
As usual, Easter Bunny mixed things up and left some eggs for children to find outside while venturing into houses to leave eggs for others.
Australia's chief health officer Brendan Murphy extended an egg-semption form to Easter Bunny, while across the ditch New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinta Ardern declared the Bunny and Tooth Fairy as essential services amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eggs have been harder to source during the pandemic and lockdowns did make it harder for the Bunny to make it to every household though.
With the Easter holidays in full swing, Victoria's Chief Health Officer Professor Brett Sutton has repeated his strong message that Victorians must continue to be vigilant in practicing physical distancing and staying at home for all but essential outings.
Easter egg hunts are allowed for families living in the same household - and if it is not too late, people are encouraged to video call in grandparents or other relatives to share in the hunt virtually.
