Basketball Ballarat has uncovered footage of the Miners' 1994 Continental Basketball Association title win over the Cairns Marlins.

The Miners, who were coached by a younger Brendan Joyce at the time, rode a big second half to down the Marlins by 23 points in Bendigo. The title marked one of two Joyce would win as coach of the Miners before leaving to pursue a coaching career in the NBL.
The Miners trailed at half-time against the Marlins, before going into top gear in the third quarter to seize control of the match.
Eric Hayes was in fine form for the Miners, finishing the game with 26 points. He was backed up by club legend Eric Cooks who finished with 23.
Hayes was named Most Valuable Player for the match.
