Clark has been part of discussions with the Central Highlands Football League board following AFL Victoria advice that competitions should be delayed until at least May 31 because of COVID-19.

"I think the aim for the whole league, both netball and football, is to get kids and adults back out there playing," she said.

If play is allowed to resume after May 31, CHFL president Doug Hobson has flagged a June 13 start date for the 2020 season. This would allow clubs some time to train before matches got underway for premiership points.

But if that timeframe doesn't eventuate, Clark, who is in just her first season as president, said there's still other options.

"I think the shortest we were looking at with Doug was eight weeks... then we could do a conference draw where all the odds played each other and then the evens from last year played each other," she said.

"And then at the end you had two from both sides play off in the finals. I think that was sort of the shortest draw that they would look at.

"Possibly the talk after that was that maybe if it got any shorter, they possibly may just do the kids and give the kids a short round robin or something like that."

Running alongside the CHFL, the Central Highlands Netball League has six competitive grades of netball.

Hepburn won last season's A-grade grand final, beating Springbank.
