The New Zealand-bred mare is raced by the Ballarat and District Trotting Club Standardbred Group and normally has a band of owners trackside.
COVID-19 restrictions have momentarily put to a stop to that, but in time it will return and be plenty of time to catch up on celebrations.
Betta Boppa ($2 favourite) raced away by almost eight metres in the BDTC150 On Twitter Pace, 2220m, at the day meeting.
It was a training triumph for father and son training combination Richard and Emmett Brosnan, with the outing Betta Boppa's fourth start since resuming from a lengthy break in which she had knee surgery.
Although a 5yo, Betta Boppa has raced just 13 times for four wins and more than $20,000 in earnings.
She has won twice in Ballarat and twice at Melton.
INDIGO Dancer ($55.70) caused the boilover of the day.
Trained by Ricky Ryan at Bunkers Hill, the filly saluted for the first time in the Flying Horse Takeway 3yo Pace, 2220m.
She had had 16 previous starts for six seconds and four thirds.
Melton reinsman John Caldow took the drive and completed a running double.
He also scored on Charlie Walker ($8.10) for Lawrence (near Smeaton) trainer Ken Whelan in the TAB Long May We Trot, 2220m. The 4yo is in his first season of racing and the career-first win came at his 12th start.
