They may feature in more photographs of Ballarat than almost anywhere else - but the boatsheds around Lake Wendouree seldom occur in the city's sales listings.

However, one of them has just come onto the market and - for a cool $100,000 - the iconic water views of Victoria's biggest inland city could be all yours.
Boathouse number 24, which lies on the southern side of the lake, is now being advertised.
Estate agent Damian Caine is describing it as a "rare opportunity".
"It's a rarity to come up," he said.
"Some might spend [$100,000] on a sports car, others might spend it on the gentlemanly pursuit of fly-fishing."
He said the boathouses tend to be passed down through the generations and be kept for at least 20 years, which is why they were rarely seen on the market.
Lying opposite the corner of Pleasant Street with Wendouree Parade, the boatshed boasts solar power as well as a mains connection if required.
It also comes with a 15-foot rowing boat, equipped with an electric motor on its own launching facility.
Located just down the road from the Lake Wendouree yacht club, it is one of the few boatsheds to be listed for sale recently.

One came on the market in 2014, with the estate agent saying it could be worth up to $80,000.
The neighbouring boatshed 25 was also sold about five years ago for an undisclosed sum.
Mr Caine said his estate agency, Caine Property, most recently sold a boatshed in the area last year.
