Now, with school, pubs and cafes, and potentially sport looking to return in the coming weeks and months, it's time to look at what people have missed most during this period.

Speaking with Ballarat comedian Aaron Gocs, he said while cancelling his tour dates was very hard, nothing has been more difficult than not being able to do fun outdoor activities with his three kids.

"It's obviously been really hard to have your career away temporarily," he said.

"They've been cooped up for so long, I really want to take them somewhere fun."

He added his anticipation to get back in front of an audience continues to grow the longer he is forced to wait at home.

"I'd love to get back on tour. Sometimes when you're on tour you can't wait to get home but now after such a long time off I just want to be back on stage," he laughed.

"Hearing that laughter and hearing the crowd is quite addictive, I love it."

The comedian added not being able to watch or play sports has been difficult, as it would get him outside.

Now he is trying his best to enjoy indoor activities like watching TV in moderation.

"Isolation has also made me think about how important moderation is. Usually I would be out for a bit or play a bit of sport, then come home to relax in front of the TV. Now it's getting to the point where I think I'm spending too much time in front of the TV," he said.
