In an interview with the NBL1 last week, Amoore confirmed she was still in the country and living with a teammate.
Amoore departed Australia last year to take up a four-year scholarship offer with the Virginia Tech Hokies basketball program.
With teams not yet cleared to play, Amoore said she was working, cooking and preparing to get back into study.
Last year I texted Eric Hayes every day to see what I could improve on."

While living out of home has been an adjustment, she said it was better to do it now than later.
Amoore entered 2020 primed for her biggest year yet after a breakout season with the Ballarat Rush in the 2019 NBL1 competition.
She averaged eleven points a game and produced a 19-point performance against the competition powerhouse Geelong Supercats.
"The previous year in 2018, I wasn't able to participate much," she said.
"I wasn't that confident so I sat back and observed, whereas last year I texted (head coach) Eric Hayes every day to see what I could improve on."
In August she helped lead Australia to a gold medal at the 2019 FIBA 3x3 under-18 Asia Cup in Malaysia.
