As part of the state government's gradual easing of restrictions, public playgrounds, skate parks, and communal gym equipment is now allowed to be opened by municipalities.
Young Charlie Joyce, aged three, couldn't wait to hit the slide in Victoria Park - he was first in line as the gates were unlocked at the adventure playground there.
His mum Courtney Rodda sent in some videos and photos - he even got to help remove the chain from the gate.
With the entire place to himself, Charlie made a dash for the slide for the first time in months.
More restrictions will be lifted on Monday - these include allowing up to 20 people to gather at private residences and in outdoor groups, and overnight accommodation will be allowed.
Weddings and funerals can have more people, and many other businesses will be allowed to reopen.
Council facilities like libraries and swimming pools may reopen on Monday as well.
Further restrictions, affecting gyms and cafes, will be lifted on June 22 if the transmission rate remains low and testing rates remain high.
However, authorities are urging people to be cautious and make sure all their activities are safe to avoid catching the virus or infecting others.
Remember to maintain social distancing at all times to keep each other safe.
The full list of restrictions is available here.
